North Eastern Community Hospital (NECH) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Aged Care team on a fixed-term contract from November to Mid-January 2027 to provide leave coverage.

This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about aged care, thrives in a resident-focused environment, and values flexibility, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse within our Residential Aged Care Service, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing for our residents.

To support continuity of care throughout this leave coverage period, applicants MUST be available and committed to the full contract period (November to Mid-January 2027) on a full-time basis (10 shifts a fortnight).

Flexibility is essential, with availability required across:

- Morning shifts

- Afternoon shifts

- Night shifts

- Weekends and public holidays as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

- Extensive experience in Aged Care nursing

- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities





- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centred care

- Valid National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check

- Evidence of COVID-19 and influenza vaccination
