Seeking casual and full time yard person/truck drivers to assist with duties relating to packing, loading and transporting goods in trucks out of our East Arm Deport and Port Keats when required.

Average hours for this role range between 24hrs - 40hrs per week

Core objectives

- Drive to destinations in accordance with regulations and company procedures

- Load and unload trailer either individually or with assistance, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment

- Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight

- Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips

- Submit pre-trip Inspections and if required Vehicle Defect reports on truck and trailing equipment prior to commencing shift

- Ensure that all load documentation required to move with freight is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies freight when delivered

- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations

- Ensuring all paperwork is completed for customers regarding shipping

- Communicate with suppliers as required

- Load, unload and accept freight at our East Arm Depot

- Ensure yard and shed is neat and tidy at all times

- Assist with vehicle maintenance and reporting

- Remote travel as required

- Take direction as required by Operations Manager and upper management team

- Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.

Additional Requirements

- Candidates must hold a valid HR, HC or MC license for truck driving responsibilities and a valid forklift license.

- Australian work rights are required for this position.

- A minimum of 1-2 years of truck driving experience is essential.

- This role requires heavy lifting capabilities for loading and unloading processes.

- Work hours are subject to change pending on need. This position is open to applicants seeking both casual and full time work.
