Make a Real Difference in Mental Health Recovery An established and respected community mental health provider is seeking two experienced Mental Health Clinicians to join its Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC) in Pimpama on the Gold Coast.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, providing accessible, evidence-based mental health support to individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges. The service offers free, confidential support without the need for referrals or appointments, helping people access the care they need when they need it most.

About the Role As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide high-quality clinical assessment, intervention and care coordination to consumers experiencing mental health challenges. Working alongside psychologists, nurses, social workers, counsellors, peer workers and vocational specialists, you'll contribute to positive recovery outcomes and support individuals to achieve their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical formulations
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment and recovery plans
- Deliver individual therapeutic interventions using best-practice approaches
- Undertake risk assessments, crisis intervention and safety planning
- Provide person-centred and family-inclusive care where appropriate
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in case reviews,
clinical supervision and professional development
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and quality clinical practice
About You You are an experienced mental health professional who combines strong clinical capability with a genuine commitment to recovery-focused care.
You will have:
- Experience conducting mental health assessments and treatment planning
- Strong skills in risk assessment, crisis intervention and risk management
- Experience delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- A recovery-oriented and strengths-based approach to care
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
Essential Requirements
- Qualification as a Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, or equivalent industry experience
- Relevant professional registration or eligibility
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Working with Children Check (or state equivalent)
- National Police Check
- Full Australian working rights
