Established in 2007, Vocational Training Services (VTS) is a Registered Training Organisation delivering nationally recognised training across Western Australia, with a strong presence throughout the Kimberley and regional WA.

Qualified Trainer & Assessor | $95,000 to $125,000

Already an experienced Trainer & Assessor? Bring your expertise somewhere you can see the difference it makes.

You will independently deliver and assess vocational training while supporting participants to develop practical skills, confidence and meaningful pathways forward.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering and assessing practical, engaging vocational training
- Adapting training to participant needs, strengths and learning goals
- Supporting participant engagement, confidence and progression
- Building positive relationships with communities and stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate training, assessment and participant records
- Meeting VTS quality, compliance and program requirements
- Contributing to program engagement and positive participant outcomes
- Maintaining current vocational and industry knowledge

You will have the autonomy to use your professional judgement, experience and ideas to make learning practical and meaningful.

Qualified Trainers may also be able to explore resident, outreach and scheduled block delivery opportunities, including periods of up to six weeks , depending on operational requirements.

Participant Support Officer / Mentor | $75,000 to $85,000

Be the Connection That Keeps People Moving

If your strengths lie in connecting with people, building trust and helping others progress, there is another way to make an impact at VTS.

Participant Support Officers and Mentors work alongside Trainers as student support officers, helping participants remain engaged, confident and connected throughout their learning journey.

You may bring experience from:

- Community services
- Youth work
- Employment services
- Education support
- Community development
- Aboriginal organisations
- Mentoring or case support
- Other people-focused environments

Formal training qualifications are not essential for this pathway.

What matters is your ability to build genuine relationships, provide practical support and help participants keep moving towards their goals.

For those who are interested in progressing into training over time, the Mentor pathway can also provide valuable exposure to the profession and the opportunity to explore the TAE journey.

This can be a outstanding pathway for locally connected candidates who understand the communities VTS serves and want to build a longer-term career in vocational training.

What You'll Bring

There is no single career journey that leads to VTS. What you need will depend on the pathway you pursue.

For Trainer & Assessor opportunities , you will hold an appropriate Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher-level training and assessment qualification, together with relevant vocational competency and required licences and checks.

For Qualified Tradespeople , a relevant nationally recognised vocational qualification and genuine industry experience will be significant.

For Future Trainer opportunities , we are particularly interested in candidates with relevant qualifications and industry experience in Aged Care, Early Childhood Education, Allied Health, Conservation & Land Management, Construction or Community Services , who are interested in developing their capability as a Trainer & Assessor.

For Participant Support Officer and Mentor opportunities , formal training qualifications are not essential. Your ability to connect with participants,



build trust and provide meaningful support will be central to your success.
