We are currently recruiting for a fast-growing specialist financial services. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Collections Officer to join their Sydney team of five on a permanent, full-time basis.

The organisation is known for its strong company culture and provides a thorough onboarding process to ensure new employees are set up for success.

The role reports directly into the Head of Credit.

The Role

- Manage arrears and overdue accounts across the loan book
- Follow up on missed and dishonoured payments
- Speak with borrowers and negotiate suitable payment arrangements
- Liaise closely with finance brokers regarding collections matters
- Manage hardship requests and customer negotiations
- Handle customer complaints and escalations
- Maintain accurate collections activity and records through Salesforce

Your Profile

- Previous Financial Services collections experience is essential
- Solid collections and arrears management experience
- Confident on the phone and comfortable having conversations with customers
- Strong negotiation and customer management skills




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong judgement when assessing customer hardship and payment issues
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and manage the collections function effectively
