About the role

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you'll assist with the operation, maintenance and watchkeeping of the vessel's machinery, helping keep dredging operations running safely and reliably.

Please note this is a Brisbane-based opportunity and we will only accept applicants who already reside in the Local Brisbane Region.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting the Chief Engineer with day-to-day machinery operation and planned maintenance
- Standing engine room watches and carrying out routine checks
- Helping maintain engine room logs, records and compliance documentation
- Assisting deck operations as required
- Assisting with defect identification and rectification
- Supporting a strong safety culture onboard

About you

- AMSA MED1 (Marine Engine Driver Grade 1) or higher
- Current C.O.S.T
- Current White Card Certificate of medical fitness
- High Risk Work Licences advantageous
- Already reside in the Local Brisbane Region
