The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares, largest single herd in the world and home to Five Founders Beef. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 15 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD.
We’re seeking enthusiastic Station Hands to join our Queensland and Northern Territory station teams for the 2027 season. If you enjoy hands-on outdoor work, thrive in a close-knit team environment and are ready to experience everything station life has to offer, we’d love to hear from you.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Mustering cattle on horseback and motorbike
- Yard work, processing cattle and supporting low stress stock handling practices
- Checking waters, fences and livestock across the station
- Assisting with fencing, general maintenance and basic machinery operation
- Working safely as part of a team while following NAPCo policies and procedures
- Pitching in with other station jobs as needed — no two days are quite the same
About you:
- Have experience working with cattle, with low stress stock handling experience highly regarded
- Be a confident horse rider and/or motorbike rider, with mustering experience preferred
- Be willing to flex across mustering, fencing, maintenance and other general station duties
- Have machinery operation experience, or a willingness to learn
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Follow health and safety policies,
procedures and safe work practices
- Bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved in station life

Pre-employment requirements
