Roper Gulf Regional Council is recruiting for a Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer(Male) to join our team in Katherine The Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer, reporting to the Human Resources Manager, will work with various stakeholders to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Roper Gulf region. The role involves developing initiatives to strengthen cultural connections, raise awareness, and improve the community. Additionally, the officer will influence internal processes to embed best practices related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander through the implementation of the Council’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

Under an approved Special Measures Plan, this position is designated only for a person from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nationality who meets all essential selection criteria and is suitable at the level of the position.

Salary & Benefits:

- Base Salary: $94,400.41 to $103,825.61 per annum (depending on experience)
- Leave Entitlements: 6 weeks annual leave + 10 days personal/sick leave

Location

This position is based in Katherine and you will be required to travel and work in remote communities, including overnight stays, in the Roper Gulf Regional Council area.
