Accounts Payable & Payroll Officer | Construction

Looking for a role where your Accounts Payable and Payroll skills can make a real impact? This is a great opportunity to join a growing construction and development business, supporting a busy finance team across active projects.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and project teams, you’ll take ownership of subcontractor and supplier invoices, payment runs, reconciliations and weekly payroll for 100+ employees across two entities.

What you’ll be doing:

- Processing subcontractor, supplier and consultant invoices across construction projects
- Managing payment runs, creditor reconciliations and supplier statements
- Ensuring invoices are correctly allocated to projects, entities and cost codes
- Supporting subcontractor compliance and QBCC/BIF Act requirements
- Processing weekly payroll for 100+ staff, including timesheets, leave, super and PAYG
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations, journals and month-end processes
- Working closely with Project Managers, Contract Administrators and external suppliers




- Helping maintain strong financial controls and smooth day-to-day finance operations

What we’re looking for:

- 3+ years’ experience across Accounts Payable and Payroll
- Ideally, experience within construction, property development or another project-based environment
- Robust attention to detail and confidence managing deadlines
- Good understanding of GST, payroll and statutory obligations
- Experience with Jobpac is highly desirable
- A confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with a wider project and finance team
