Agronomy Specialist About The Role As Agronomy Specialist you will be involved in all aspects of Canola plant breeding trials throughout southern NSW and Northern Victoria work as part of a highly motivated, small team based in Wagga Wagga.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with growers to locate appropriate field sites
- Pack, sow, maintain & harvest Canola variety evaluation field and nursery experiments
- Application of agricultural chemicals
- Collection of field data
- Maintaining accurate records
- Operate and maintain a range of small plot research equipment
Key Skills & Competencies For This Role
- Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, science, or related field
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Agronomy experience
- Operation of agricultural machinery & modern GPS systems
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Well-developed time management skills
- Motivated to work as part of a small team, as well as independently
- Ability to problem solve
