About the Role

We are seeking an Analyst to join our team to provide professional services relating to insolvency administrations, financial reporting, and business advisory services. This position involves assisting senior team members with small to medium-sized insolvency administrations while developing expertise in corporate and personal insolvency procedures.

Position Objective To maximise monetary returns and advancement to clients, partners, and employees, in minimum time, with least cost by assisting with fieldwork on small to medium sized insolvency administrations.

Key Responsibilities

Insolvency Administration Support:

- Preparation of standard appointment documents including internal processes such as opening and closing of bank accounts, creation of matter folders and internal management systems
- Undertaking investigations into the affairs of insolvent entities with all source information being documented and summarised in file note form
- Researching and referencing appropriate legislation where necessary
- Preparation of statutory forms and lodgements

Financial Management:

- Preparing receipts to detail recoveries made during administrations and recording same in internal management systems
- Preparation of payments required in administering estates
- Calculation, preparation and payment of dividends
- Preparation of detailed reports to creditors

Stakeholder Management:

- Attendance at meetings of creditors including preparation of minutes, attendance registers and lodgement requirements
- Liaising and corresponding with all parties to administrations
- Keeping all relevant internal and external parties informed of progress and developments
- Liaising with team members, particularly when planning ahead for specific activities and submission deadlines

Key Requirements Essential Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to gain a basic understanding of relevant principles of corporate and personal insolvency legislation, rules and guidelines




- Ability to develop understanding of insolvency administration procedures
- Professional and ethical conduct at all times
- Sound reporting and communication skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Robust task prioritisation and deadline management skills
- Capability to work within set budgets and timeframes
- Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with emotional third parties

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Education:

- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to formal qualification

Professional Registration:

- Registration or licensing may be required for certain services
- Member of either ICAA, CPA Australia, or IPA preferred

Core Competencies Required:

- Knowledge of financial reporting and compliance requirements
- Understanding of statutory and regulatory frameworks
- Budgeting and cost management capabilities
- Auditing and financial investigation skills
- Taxation knowledge and return preparation
- Accounting systems implementation and maintenance
- Business advisory and decision-making support
- Risk assessment and internal control systems understanding

Experience:

- Insolvency Experience preferred
- Entry-level graduates with strong academic foundation encouraged to apply

Performance Standards Successful candidates will be expected to maintain:

- Compliance with professional, legal and ethical standards and procedures
- Adherence to company guidelines regarding all forms of communication with external parties
- Compliance with Employee Manual guidelines
- Competent and timely completion of assigned tasks
