We’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Light Vehicle Mechanic to join a busy, well-established automotive workshop in Moorooka.

This is an open-age apprenticeship, and we welcome applications from both junior and mature-age candidates. Previous mechanical experience isn’t essential. What matters most is that you’re reliable, mechanically minded, willing to learn and genuinely committed to completing your trade.

You’ll be working alongside experienced technicians in a modern workshop, gaining hands-on experience across vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs while completing your nationally recognised automotive qualification.

What You’ll Be Doing





- Assisting qualified technicians with vehicle servicing and repairs
- Learning fault finding and diagnostic procedures
- Carrying out general workshop duties as your skills develop
- Working on a range of new and used vehicles
- Assisting with vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs when required
- Completing your apprenticeship training and trade qualification

Requirements

What We’re Looking For You don’t need to know everything about cars already. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude who wants to build a career in the trade.

To be considered, you’ll need:

- A genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- To be reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a team
- A current manual driver’s licence, essential
- Commitment to completing a full apprenticeship
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency

Previous workshop experience, automotive studies or hands-on mechanical experience at home would be looked upon favourably.
