About the role We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Baristas, Bar & Beverages Staff, and Kitchen Staff to join our dynamic team at Civic Heart Restaurant Bar Cafe in South Perth. This is a casual position offering flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle. You'll be at the heart of our operation, crafting quality beverages, preparing food, and ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.

Whether you're behind the espresso machine, serving at the bar, or preparing meals in the kitchen, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

We are also looking for an approved manager to run the front of house.

Key responsibilities

1. Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based beverages and other drinks with precision and consistency
2. Operating espresso machines, grinders, and other beverage equipment safely and effectively
3. Taking customer orders accurately and providing friendly, efficient service at the bar or counter
4. Preparing food items according to recipes and presentation standards, including plating and garnishing
5.



Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the cafe, bar, and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety regulations
6. Managing stock levels and assisting with inventory control and ordering
7. Working collaboratively with team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
8. Handling cash and card transactions with accuracy
9. Responding to customer enquiries and resolving any issues professionally and courteously
10. Following all company policies, health and safety procedures, and licensing requirements

What we're looking for

1. Prior experience as a barista, bar staff member, or kitchen staff member (desirable but not essential for entry-level candidates)
2. Knowledge of espresso machines and beverage preparation techniques, or willingness to learn
3. Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
6. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation
7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required
8.



Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to obtain one (particularly for kitchen staff)
9. Reliable, punctual, and skilled attitude with a positive work ethic
10. RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Certification where applicable for bar staff
11. Approved Manager card where applicable for duty Manager
