Our client is a privately owned, high-end building products supplier that has renowned product and has already established itself as an industry leader in the decorative surfaces industry in Australia. This role is critical for the continual growth and development of the company’s expansion plans. They continue to introduce new and innovative products to gain further market share within Australia.

Role

As the Area Manager, your primary responsibility is to maintain and develop a territory consisting of Kitchen Retailers, Stone Masons & Cabinet Makers in the Adelaide metro, South and West Adelaide areas.

Your role will be predominantly focused on maintaining and developing your established territory of accounts. You will ideally possess a savvy approach to sales, which will see you unearth new opportunities within the Residential Construction and retail space. This opportunity would suit a dynamic and career driven salesperson that has good exposure to the building products and/or construction sales space and is looking to grow within a business long term.

Due to the strength of the training and mentorship available in this position, our client is also open to somebody less experienced, that has the right positive and outgoing attitude,



and comes with an open mind and an eagerness to be trained and developed.

Skills & Experience

We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate the following skills and experience;

- Strong presentation skills with an ambitious & outgoing personality
- Experience in Stone and/or Decorative Surfaces is highly desired but not essential
- Existing relationships with at least one the desired customer segments in the description above is a bonus but not essential
- Experience within building products/construction sales is a must have
- Proven track record in sales and overachieving targets
- Good technical understanding of the construction industry in general
- High degree of energy, be self-motivated and desire to be rewarded for your hard efforts
- Stable track record of employment and desire to move into a long-term career role
