About the role

Join Progress Rail as an Asset Schedule, this position is responsible for providing Planning and Scheduling support for multiple fleets of locomotives. Based at a Progress Rail maintenance facility you will also be involved in supporting facilities and operations within the wider region and state. This role is also responsible for all locomotive assets within Various Customer Fleets and will interface with Multiple Customer Operations Teams, Progress Rail Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and the Heavy Maintenance workshops as required.

About you

- Experience in the maintenance of PC based systems and tools.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrable ability to successfully analyze complex problems, identify critical issues and develop strategies for delivering solutions.
- Proven ability to collaborate across multi-functional or multi-discipline teams in order to achieve agreed objectives within set time frames.
- Robust results orientation,



and a proven track record of delivering on time and to required quality standards.
- Significant ERP and Microsoft systems (Excel, PowerPoint, D365) experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of quality processes and systems
- Continuous improvement/quality
- A related discipline is preferred, with experience within a similar role.
- Critical thinking skills gained from previous (and similar) positions
- Highly Analytical, with data analytics and modelling skills

Responsibilities of the position

- Creating and managing multiple schedules - Locomotive Maintenance Requirements ( LMR )
- Creating and managing the maintenance plan with multiple depots - Locomotive Maintenance Instructions ( LMI )
- Scheduling the overhaul and MPM programs through Cardiff - Heavy workshop
- Scheduling Locomotive PM and CM work through facilities at Cardiff, Port Kembla, Clyde, Enfield, Parkes, Cootamundra & Werris Creek
- Communications and management of 3rd Party Suppliers of Locomotive Maintenance
- Managing variations across several contracts
- Managing the fleet wheel wear, including wheel lathe bookings, wheel changes & bogie overhauls
- Reporting on the performance of locomotives across various contracts
- Restricted locomotives list management
- High priority work order management.




- Rail Safety work completion by due date.
- Engineering Fleet Wide Repair and Mods management.
- Planned Vs Actual data analysis
- Managing work in TRAX and D365
- Assist with preparation and activation of annual major periodic maintenance budgets
