Assistant Accountant | Illawarra Region | Full-Time

Numbers person? We've got a lot of them.

Imports. Stock. Payables. Receivables. Budgets. Compliance. Our finance team runs across all of it-and we need an Assistant Accountant who wants more than transaction-processing on repeat.

The job, straight up Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll get real hands-on exposure across the whole finance function - not just one narrow slice of it. Journals, reconciliations, GL maintenance, AP/AR, fixed assets, budgets, audit support, compliance. Broad, practical, and genuinely useful experience.

You'll be:

· Driving month-end: journals, reconciliations, workpapers, GL

· Reconciling bank and corporate card accounts, chasing debtor/creditor ageing

· Keeping AP and AR moving - invoicing, supplier queries, payment runs, follow-up

· Preparing BAS, IAS, GST and PAYG workpapers

· Managing the fixed asset register

· Feeding into budgets, forecasts and management reporting

· Backing up audits and hunting down process improvements

You'll need:





· A qualification (or current study) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business

· 3+ years in a Junior Accountant, Assistant Accountant or Accounts Officer role in Australia

· Real comfort with reconciliations, journals and month-end

· An eye for detail that doesn't switch off

· Solid Excel and Microsoft Office skills

· The confidence to work solo and the sense to ask when you can't

· Australian citizenship or PR, and a clean medical/drug & alcohol screen

· Bonus: manufacturing background, bathroom furniture know-how, or MYOB Exonet
