Exodas is a well-established and growing transport and logistics company that has been operating along the East Coast of Australia, from Nth Queensland through to Melbourne for 24 years.

Head Office is located in Yatala with depots/yards in Melbourne, Sydney, Warnervale, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville, Tully, Innisfail and Mareeba.

The Role

Oversee and manage the teams responsible for freight pick up/delivery and loading operations at Yatala Depot.

The local PUD team consists of three allocators and 15 local drivers.

The depot team consists of three supervisors and 10 forklift operators/yard-hands.

Key responsibilities:

- Ensure planning and scheduling of drivers for the timely pick up and delivery of freight is being managed efficiently and effectively
- Ensure planning of loading of freight to ensure maximum utilisation of company equipment, whilst also meeting Chain of Responsibility obligations
- Clear communication of instructions and expectations to drivers and depot forklift operators




- Transparent and timely communication with external and internal parties
- Fatigue Management compliance of local drivers
- Accurate and timely record keeping of the daily movements of drivers and equipment
- Seven day roster coverage for local PUD team and depot team

About you

- Proven success leading allocation and/or depot teams
- In depth knowledge of transport operations
- Experience and understanding of produce and refrigerated freight
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate (Office, Excel) computer skills are essential
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a sometimes high paced and high pressure environment
