The Opportunity
If you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in creating and maintaining beautiful spaces, this could be the role for you. As an Assistant Gardener, you will help maintain and enhance our stunning Milawa grounds, contributing to the presentation of one of Australia's most iconic winery destinations.
Description:
About the Role
- Maintain lawns, garden beds and landscaped areas to a high standard across our extensive Milawa grounds.
- Undertake mowing, edge trimming, weeding, spraying and general horticultural maintenance.
- Assist with the operation, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
- Support weed control programs and seasonal garden projects.
- Perform routine maintenance and care of gardening equipment and tools.
- Monitor grounds and report maintenance issues requiring attention.
- Assist with the set-up and pack down of on-site events as required.
- Contribute to a protected, professional and well-presented environment for visitors, guests and team members.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
- Passion for working outdoors and taking pride in maintaining beautiful spaces.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking the hands-on requirements of the role.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture or grounds maintenance is advantageous
- Current Driver's Licence.
