Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) – B1.3 | Helicopters | Melbourne
We are seeking an experienced CASA B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) for a permanent opportunity with a leading OEM helicopter maintenance organisation based at Essendon Fields, Melbourne.
This is a great opportunity to join an established helicopter maintenance environment supporting a range of Leonardo rotary-wing aircraft, including the AW109, AW139, AW169 and AW189.
The Opportunity
As a B1.3 LAME, you will be responsible for carrying out aircraft maintenance and supporting the wider maintenance operation, including:
- Performing scheduled and associated aircraft maintenance activities
- Coordinating maintenance activities within the hangar environment
- Exercising licence privileges and issuing maintenance releases within authorised coverage
- Conducting individual quality control activities
- Supporting hangar, tooling and GSE upkeep
- Providing on-the-job support and guidance to AMEs and apprentices
- Supporting aircraft modifications, maintenance and related activities
- Opportunities for domestic/international travel and OEM training may be available
About You To be considered, you will have:
- CASA Part 66 B1.3 LAME licence – essential
- Ability to hold a valid ASIC
- Current Human Factors training
- Current or attainable Police Background Check
- Previous experience working within an Australian aircraft maintenance environment
- Strong maintenance and safety focus
Type Ratings An existing aircraft type rating is highly desirable but not essential.
Candidates with AW109, AW139 and/or AW169 experience or type coverage are particularly encouraged to apply.
Importantly, the organisation is also prepared to consider an appropriately licensed B1.3 LAME without an existing type rating, with a pathway available for first-of-type support and training.
