We are seeking a passionate and community-focused Community Services Worker to join a respected local government organisation dedicated to creating inclusive, connected and thriving communities.
Sydney | part time role | 12 months contract | $46 plus super | ASAP start In this rewarding role, you will help deliver a diverse range of community programs, events and support services that enhance health, wellbeing, social connection and resilience for people from all backgrounds.
You'll be based within a welcoming community centre environment, working directly with residents, community groups, service providers and local stakeholders.
About the Role
As a key member of the community services team, you will:
- Build robust relationships with residents, community groups and service providers.
- Provide information, support and referral services to community members.
- Create safe, inclusive and welcoming community environments.
- Support the day-to-day operations of community facilities and services.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen community engagement, inclusion and resilience
About You To be successful, you will bring:
- Experience delivering community programs, services or activities.
- A genuine passion for supporting diverse communities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills, with the ability to read and write Chinese.
