About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Chef who does more than follow a recipe; we want a culinary professional who treats every dish, from a perfectly poached egg to a beautifully crafted roast, as an opportunity to deliver outstanding care.

In this role, you will take ownership of our kitchen over the weekend, crafting nutritious, high-quality meals and fostering a welcoming, community-focused dining experience for all residents.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Culinary Leadership: Spearheading weekend kitchen operations to deliver seamless, high-quality meal services.
- Inclusive &
- Tailored Dining: Crafting diverse standard menus alongside texture-modified and specialized therapeutic diets with care, precision, and respect.

- Presentation: Upholding rigorous standards so every dish sent from the pass excels in flavor, temperature, and visual appeal.

- Compliance: Maintaining strict food safety, sanitation, and audit-ready compliance standards across all shifts.
- Collaborative Team Spirit: Partnering with a dedicated team to foster an efficient, harmonious, and supportive kitchen environment.

Desired Skills And Experience Who You Are

- A Skilled Professional: You hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.




- Experience-Driven: You’ve worked in a rapid-paced kitchen, and while aged care experience is a plus, a background in hotels, hospitals, or busy cafes is highly valued.
- Empathetic &
- Patient: You understand that our residents are our priority. You’re happy to tweak a dish to make someone’s day better.
- Reliable: You’re the "weekend warrior" who takes pride in running a smooth ship while the weekday management is away.
