Business Analyst - Data & Reporting Focus

6 Month Contract (with possibility of extension) | $80-$90 p/h Super

Hays is partnering with a leading organisation seeking a Business Analyst who combines solid stakeholder engagement and business analysis skills with hands-on data reporting and dashboard development experience.

This role will play a key part in helping the organisation translate risk and compliance controls into meaningful operational metrics, providing valuable insights that support informed decision-making. You will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and develop reporting solutions that drive visibility and accountability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering activities
- Engage with business and technical teams to understand reporting and operational needs
- Translate risk and compliance controls into measurable KPIs and operational metrics
- Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports
- Analyse data and provide insights to support business decision-making




- Communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support the delivery of reporting frameworks and performance measurement initiatives

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience gathering, documenting and validating business requirements
- Ability to interpret risk, governance or compliance controls and convert them into meaningful performance measures
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports
- Strong Power BI skills, with experience using Excel and other reporting tools highly regarded
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline will be highly regarded
