We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager for CleanTech Services and wanted to provide you with an outline of the type of candidate we are looking for.

Ideally, the successful candidate would have the following experience and capabilities:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience in business development within the commercial cleaning industry;
- Robust experience actioning warm leads, conducting site inspections and preparing commercially appropriate quotations;
- Experience preparing and submitting tenders, RFTs, RFQs and larger commercial proposals;
- Comfortable undertaking cold calling and outbound business development where required;
- An established network of strata managers, facilities managers, property managers and commercial property contacts;
- Proven experience winning current commercial cleaning contracts and developing a healthy sales pipeline;
- Strong understanding of commercial cleaning pricing, labour requirements, award rates, margins and operational costs;
- Ability to assess a site and accurately determine labour hours, scope of works and appropriate pricing;
- Experience negotiating contracts and commercial terms with prospective clients;
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional proposals and tender submissions;




- Experience using a CRM and maintaining accurate records of leads, opportunities, follow-ups and conversion rates;
- Ability to manage the entire sales process from initial enquiry through to site inspection, quotation, negotiation and contract handover;
- Strong relationship-building skills, with a focus on developing long-term relationships with clients and referral partners;
- A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and new-business targets; and
- A proactive and self-driven approach, with the ability to identify new opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads.

It would also be highly desirable for the candidate to already have established relationships within the strata, facilities management, commercial property, hospitality, education and industrial sectors across Sydney. We are particularly looking for someone who understands the cleaning industry and can confidently price opportunities while protecting our margins, rather than simply focusing on winning work at any cost.
