Ready to take your travel sales career on the road?
If you’re a relationship-driven travel industry salesperson who loves getting out there, meeting people and growing a territory, this could be the role for you. We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join Stuba, representing their accommodation wholesale business across South Australia.
This is a genuinely field-based, relationship-focused role where you’ll be out meeting travel partners, developing new business, growing existing accounts and becoming the face of Stuba in the market.
So, what’s the role?
You’ll be responsible for developing and growing Stuba’s partner network across South Australia. That means plenty of time out and about – meeting with travel businesses, conducting training, attending industry events and conferences, understanding what your partners need and finding opportunities to grow the business.
You’ll be building relationships with both new and existing clients, identifying opportunities, developing growth strategies and keeping a close eye on your pipeline and sales performance.
In short – you’ll own your territory and be responsible for making it happen.
What are we looking for?
We’re not looking for someone who just wants to sit behind a desk and manage a CRM. We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting out there and building genuine relationships.
You’ll ideally have
- Either field sale experience, or an experience as a travel professional looking to get out from behind the desk and on the road.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian retail travel market
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- A commercial mindset and the drive to hit and exceed targets
- Confidence presenting, training and speaking with people at all levels
- The ability to identify new business opportunities and turn them into results
- Solid organisational and reporting skills
- Confidence working independently – you’ll be managing your own territory, so initiative is important
- Experience using CRM systems, MS Office and online booking systems
- A current driver’s licence and your own vehicle
- You must be based in South Australia, ideally Adelaide, with a suitable home office
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys the travel industry, loves meeting people and knows how to turn a good relationship into good business.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll be joining a global travel business with a strong reputation in the industry, while having the autonomy to really make your mark across your territory.
You’ll also get
- Competitive base salary + super, based on experience
- Car allowance
- Mobile phone and internet allowance
- Performance-based sales incentive plan
- Home-based role with plenty of time on the road
