Are you an experienced Business Services Manager looking for a firm where progression beyond Manager is genuinely achievable?

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected, award-winning accounting and advisory firm with the scale, technical capability and client exposure of a large practice, while maintaining a genuinely collaborative and approachable culture.

With a significant Accounting & Tax division, access to specialist expertise across multiple service lines and a clear focus on developing future leaders, this role is ideal for an ambitious Manager looking to take the next step towards Senior Management and ultimately Director level.

Why consider this opportunity?

A genuine pathway to Director

Progression isn't just talked about - it's demonstrated.

Several of the firm's current senior leaders began their careers as Graduates and progressed internally through the business. You'll have a clearly defined pathway, regular access to senior leadership and genuine opportunities to build towards a future leadership position.

Salary and performance reviews take place every six months, ensuring your development and progression are regularly recognised.

High-quality, complex client work

You'll manage and advise a diverse portfolio of established businesses and complex groups across a range of industries.

Clients range from businesses with turnovers of approximately $2 million through to $400 million, including:

- Large family businesses and private groups
- Property and construction
- Funds management
- Mining and resources
- Hospitality
- Listed and international businesses
- Not-for-profit organisations
- Professional services and legal clients

The breadth of the wider business also gives you access to specialists across Tax, Advisory, Corporate Finance, Audit, Insolvency, R&D;, SMSF and Wealth Management. This creates genuine opportunities to deliver broader advisory solutions and work collaboratively on complex client matters, rather than operating purely in a compliance silo.

The scale of a major firm without the bureaucracy

You'll be joining an established Accounting & Tax team of approximately 100 professionals, supported by experienced Directors and Partners who are accessible and actively involved.

The firm has significant national and international reach, providing access to expertise, resources and opportunities typically associated with much larger organisations - while still maintaining a personable culture where senior leaders operate with an open-door policy.

A collaborative culture with no egos

Culture is a genuine priority.

You'll work alongside approachable Partners, Directors and Managers in an environment built around collaboration, knowledge-sharing and supporting one another.

There is no unnecessary hierarchy or politics - senior leadership is accessible whenever you need support, guidance or a sounding board.

Modern working environment & flexibility

Enjoy the benefits of a premium CBD working environment alongside genuine flexibility:

- Brand-new offices in the CBD
- Up to 2 days working from home
- Flexible start and finish times
- Discretionary bonuses

- Regular salary and performance reviews

Invested in your development The firm places significant emphasis on developing its people at every level. You'll have access to a combination of internal and external training, including:

- Monthly technical training
- Industry seminars and external development
- Leadership and management development
- Support for specialist tax courses
- Ongoing access to senior leaders and technical experts

As a Manager, you'll also have the opportunity to further develop your leadership capability, mentor junior staff and play an increasingly influential role within the wider team.

The opportunity

As a Business Services Manager, you'll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio while leading and developing a team of accountants.

You'll act as a trusted adviser to your clients, reviewing complex work, identifying advisory opportunities and working closely with Directors and Partners on broader client strategy.

This role offers the autonomy expected at Manager level, combined with the support, resources and technical expertise of a highly established multidisciplinary firm.

About you

You'll ideally bring

- 6+ years' Australian Public Practice experience
- Previous experience managing a Business Services portfolio
- Strong technical knowledge across Business Services and Tax
- Experience leading, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff
- CA / CPA qualification
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
