Hudson Building Co is on the hunt for a qualified carpenter who knows their craft, leads from the front, and wants to grow into more.

We do high-quality renovations, extensions and new builds across Melbourne’s east. Our team’s tight, the work’s solid, and there’s always a good laugh along the way.

About the Role

You’ll be onsite early, gear sorted, coffee in hand, ready to go. You’ll check in with the Site Manager, lead the carpentry crew for the day, and make sure things are ticking along — framing, fix, fit-off, flooring, decking, cladding, you name it.

You’ll be across your materials, can read plans without someone holding your hand, and you’ve got your own full set of tools to do the job properly.

We want someone who backs themselves, supports the team, and lifts the standard just by showing up.

What We’re Looking For

You’re already a gun on the tools — now you’re looking for a crew that matches your energy. You’re reliable, speak up when something’s off, and you’re not the type to go quiet when it counts.





You’ve probably led juniors before. Maybe you’ve even had to train up a few apprentices. You’ve got an eye for detail, you take pride in what you build, and you’re not here to coast.

You want to grow into more — Lead Carpenter, Site Manager, whatever’s next. And we’ll back you all the way.
