We are seeking University students currently studying a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Construction Management to undertake general labouring work on a major Inland Rail project based in the Riverina region of NSW. The project is expected to run for approximately 18 months.

The role:

- This is a casual position based on a major Inland Rail project in the Riverina region of NSW, expected to run for approximately 12 months.
- This role provides valuable hands-on experience on-site, allowing you to develop a strong understanding of practical construction processes and site operations.
- Starting in a labouring position is a great way to build your foundational knowledge and gain exposure to the industry from the ground up as you progress through your studies.
- This is a casual position, offering hours to accommodate your university commitments
- We currently have 25 students in our Casual Labour pool who are based at our Newcastle depot

Main Duties:

- Undertake general labouring work associated with construction and/or maintenance activities such as lifting, carrying, stacking, shovelling, digging,



use of simple hand tools or small mechanical equipment as well as any other labour tasks as instructed by the Construction Supervisor.
- While you are labouring on-site, you will always be accompanied by an experienced Supervisor.
- Assisting Tradespersons as required in basic level tasks

Ideal candidate:

- Must have White card and RIW (Rail Induction card)
- Studying a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Construction Management
- Motivated and enthusiastic to gain practical experience in structures/bridges and civil construction projects
- Willingness to learn from and be mentored by experienced supervisors
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
