About the role

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be an important part of our practice team, supporting our doctors, nurses and patients with the day-to-day running of the clinic.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting patients and managing the reception area
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Booking and managing patient appointments
- Processing Medicare billings and patient payments
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Scanning, filing and maintaining accurate patient records
- Liaising with doctors, nurses, specialists and other healthcare providers
- Providing general administrative support to the practice team
- Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times

About you

- Previous experience in medical reception or general practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly,



professional and patient-focused approach
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confidence working in a busy and fast-paced environment
- Good computer and administrative skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A reliable, flexible and positive attitude
- Experience using Best Practice medical software would be highly regarded
