About the role
We're seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Casual Retail Sales Assistants to join the team at autObarn Noarlunga. This is a casual position based at Noarlunga Centre SA 5168, offering flexible working arrangements perfect for those seeking part-time or ad-hoc employment. In this role, you'll be the face of our store, delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales whilst maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.
This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop retail experience, build product knowledge in the automotive aftermarket industry, and contribute to a dynamic team.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, knowledgeable assistance to help them find the right automotive products and accessories
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the till, maintaining high standards of cash handling
- Restocking shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are organised, clearly labelled and readily accessible
- Building product knowledge across our range of automotive parts, accessories and services to provide confident recommendations
- Responding to customer enquiries about products, specifications and availability in a professional and helpful manner
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised sales floor that enhances the customer shopping experience
- Supporting the team during busy periods and contributing to the achievement of sales targets
- Following company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols
What we're looking for
- Robust customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping customers find what they need
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work flexible casual hours including potential weekends
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team environment
- Basic numeracy skills and comfort with till systems and point-of-sale technology
- Good communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanour
- Physical ability to lift, carry and stock merchandise safely
- Enthusiasm for learning about automotive products and developing product knowledge
- Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential; we're willing to train the right candidate
