Dental Receptionist/Dental Assistant - Specialist Periodontal Practice

Perio 66 is looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist/Dental Assistant to join our friendly specialist periodontal practice in Bundall. This part‑time role offers flexibility and the chance to become a valued member of our close‑knit team.

You'll be the first point of contact for our patients, helping create a warm and welcoming experience while supporting both reception and clinical duties. Key responsibilities

- Greeting patients warmly, managing check‑ins, and maintaining accurate patient records and scheduling systems
- Handling appointment bookings, confirmations, and managing the daily schedule to optimise clinic flow
- Processing patient payments, managing accounts, and providing clear communication regarding treatment costs
- Assisting clinicians chairside by preparing instruments, passing materials, and supporting patients during procedures
- Sterilising and maintaining all dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols
- Processing radiographs and intraoral photographs as required and directed by the clinician
- Recording patient treatment notes and updating clinical records with accuracy and attention to detail
- Managing administrative tasks including appointment reminders, patient correspondence and filing




- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient enquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Supporting the dental team in maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming practice environment

What we're looking for

- An experienced Dental Assistant or Dental Receptionist with the skills, professionalism and confidence to thrive in a specialist periodontal practice
- Proficiency with dental practice management software and general computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, dentists and team members
- Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- A genuine passion for patient care and commitment to delivering exceptional service standards
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical hygiene
- Experience working in a dental environment, ideally within a specialist periodontal practice
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated healthcare team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical setting
