About the role

CPS Project Solutions is seeking a motivated and mechanically minded person to join the Sunshine Coast height safety installation team. This is more than a general labouring role. You will work alongside an experienced installer on commercial and industrial projects, assisting with the installation of height safety and roof access systems including static lines, anchor points, guardrails, walkways, fixed ladders, roof access hatches and related equipment.

As skills and competency develop, you will be encouraged and expected to take greater responsibility and complete allocated installation tasks more independently.

Travel is an significant part of this role. Our projects are located throughout Queensland and regular regional travel and overnight stays away from home will be required.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with height safety and access system installations
- Measuring, marking out, assembling, drilling and fixing components
- Using hand and power tools
- Loading, unloading and preparing materials and equipment




- Following installation drawings, manufacturer guidelines and instructions
- Completing site and safety documentation
- Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship
- Progressively developing the skills to undertake routine installation tasks with less supervision

About you

- Mechanically minded and enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Keen to learn and develop into a skilled installer
- Shows initiative
- Reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
- Takes pride in doing a job properly
- Comfortable working at heights
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Current driver's licence & Construction White Card
- Willing to undertake relevant training
- Genuinely comfortable with regular regional travel and overnight stays away from home throughout Queensland
- Previous construction, roofing, fabrication, mechanical or trade experience advantageous but not essential
