Sweet Talk Coffee is looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team in a full-time position.

We are a busy, rapid-paced café with a strong focus on quality food, consistency and creating a great experience for our customers. We’re looking for someone who is confident working across all areas of the kitchen and enjoys being part of a supportive and collaborative team.

About the role

As a Chef, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
- Working across different sections of the kitchen
- Completing daily food preparation and service
- Maintaining food quality, presentation and portion standards
- Assisting with stock management, ordering and rotation
- Maintaining a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen
- Following food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
- Supporting efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Contributing to menu preparation and development where required





About you We’re looking for someone who:

- Holds relevant commercial cookery qualifications
- Has previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Is confident working in a fast-paced environment
- Has strong food preparation and cooking skills
- Has a good understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage priorities during service
- Works well as part of a team
- Takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality food
- Has availability across weekdays and weekends as required

Salary: $79,500 per annum + superannuation Employment: Full-Time

Location: Toowoomba, QLD
