About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Estimator to join our growing pre-contracts team. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will play a key role in securing future work by preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects. You will work closely with our estimating, engineering and delivery teams to develop winning tender submissions for local councils, Transport for NSW and other government clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Review tender documentation including drawings, specifications and schedules.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Develop detailed first principles estimates and pricing schedules.
- Attend tender briefings, site inspections and pre-tender meetings.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
- Prepare tender submissions and supporting documentation.




- Work closely with project managers and engineers during the tender process.
- Assist with post-tender negotiations, clarifications and handovers.
- Monitor market pricing, industry trends and supplier relationships.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience (at least 3 years) estimating civil construction projects.
- Experience first-principal pricing roads, intersections, drainage, utilities, pavements, earthworks, concrete, and public domain works.
- Strong understanding of civil infrastructure and demonstrated skills in developing construction methodologies and programs.
- Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Benchmark, MS Project, or similar.
- Excellent commercial and analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Local Government and Transport for NSW tendering requirements is highly regarded.
- On-site project supervision and management experience is highly regarded.
