About The Role

Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) – Clinical Risk Resource Nurse (CRRN) to join the team.

The CRRN coordinates and delivers high-quality nursing care to patients and clients in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s National Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, criteria for CNS2 as outlined in the Public Hospital Nurses and Midwives (State) Award and the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).

This role provides expert clinical advice and support to nursing staff, other health professionals and patients across the facility helping ensure safe, effective and responsive care across wards and services.

The role works closely with the After-Hours Nurse Manager (AHNM) in supporting the delivery of safe clinical care and addressing identified clinical care issues. The CRRN provides clinical assistance to staff and supports development through demonstrated practice and coaching. This enables the development of skills and knowledge of novice and advanced beginner nurses and supporting other health professionals as required to deliver high-quality patient care.
