The Buttery

Coffs Harbour

About the role: The Buttery is seeking a compassionate and organised professional to join our Redress Support Service, supporting survivors of institutional childhood sexual abuse to access the National Redress Scheme. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, coordinating complex information and guiding people through important life-changing processes.

You will work closely with participants, helping them understand the Scheme, gather documentation, complete applications and connect with appropriate supports along the way. You'll also build relationships with community stakeholders and contribute to raising awareness of the National Redress Scheme. While counselling skills are essential, this role is also focused on participant support, case coordination, documentation and navigating application processes

About the program: The National Redress Scheme was established to acknowledge the harm caused by institutional childhood sexual abuse and provide survivors with access to support, recognition and redress. Many survivors find the application process overwhelming, emotionally challenging and difficult to navigate alone. Every application represents a survivor's story.

As a Clinician, you'll walk alongside people who have experienced institutional childhood abuse, helping them navigate a complex process that can lead to acknowledgement, compensation, counselling and a sense of justice. Your ability to organise information, manage documentation and guide participants through the Scheme will make a significant difference.

Hours and location: Based in Coffs Harbour, this part-time role is 32 hours per week, with no weekend work and flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance. Working in a hybrid capacity, you'll split your time between community-based outreach, and work from home. A work vehicle is provided for community appointments. This position is funded until 30 June 2027, with strong potential for extension as part of our expanding community services.

$$$: This role will be remunerated at SCHCDS Level 5 $53-55ph with access to salary packaging to potentially increase your take home pay by another 5k.
