Cloud Engineer

- Baseline Security Clearance required (or able to get Baseline).
- Full Australian working rights.

The Role We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure .

You’ll work across cloud infrastructure, automation, networking, security and operational support, partnering with engineering, operations and security teams to improve the reliability and performance of cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure .
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible .
- Develop automation using Python, Bash and/or PowerShell .
- Implement cloud security best practices, access controls and governance.
- Manage and troubleshoot cloud networking , including VPNs, load balancing, firewalls and security groups.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, reliability and cost.
- Support disaster recovery, backup and business continuity requirements.
- Work with development, operations and security teams to integrate cloud solutions.




- Maintain technical documentation covering cloud architecture, configurations and processes.
- Participate in occasional out-of-hours support for technology changes.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong commercial experience across AWS and Azure .
- Hands-on cloud infrastructure design, deployment and operational experience.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
- Robust understanding of cloud networking and security.
- Experience with cloud storage and infrastructure services.
- Scripting experience with Python, Bash and/or PowerShell .
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus or Azure Monitor .
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work across technical teams.

Nice to Have
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines .
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent practical experience.
