WA Project Sites | Site-Based Role
Polaris Engineering is a provider of diversified engineering and construction solutions. We specialise in high-quality heavy fabrication and surface treatment services, including tanks, structural steel, platework, pipework and rotatable maintenance services for mechanical equipment and associated steel work. Our clients include major companies across the industrial, mining, resources and construction sectors.
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead site teams and deliver a Greenfield CIL construction project (must have extensive tank building experience).
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee construction activities and lead multidisciplinary site teams including supervisors, engineers, HSE and QAQC advisors, trades and subcontractors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and coordinate construction activities to meet project schedules
- Review drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Manage project budgets, schedules and progress reporting
- Coordinate labour, materials and equipment logistics
- Identify and manage project risks and variations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes and company procedures
- Maintain solid relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Lead and support site personnel while promoting a safety-first culture
Skills & Experience
- Must have extensive tank building experience
- Qualification in Engineering,
Construction Management or similar (required)
- Experience delivering projects in industrial, mining, fabrication or construction environments
- Minimum 3-5 years of construction management experience in industrial, mining, fabrication or construction environments
- Must have extensive CIL experience
- Strong knowledge of safety legislation and QA systems (AS/NZS ISO 9001)
- Valid Construction White Card
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in all three software programs: Microsoft Office, Navisworks and AutoCAD
- Right to work in Australia
