Construction Manager

Lead Site Excellence for a Multi Award-Winning South Australian Builder Sterling Homes has been building quality homes for over 50 years. As a multi award-winning residential builder, we pride ourselves on craftsmanship, integrity, and doing things properly. We're now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our Site Supervisors and drive quality across our residential projects.

About the Role

As Construction Manager, you'll oversee and support a team of Site Supervisors to ensure every home is delivered to Sterling Homes' high standards, on time and on budget. It's a senior leadership role for someone who knows what good construction looks like and can lift a team to deliver it consistently.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading and mentoring Site Supervisors across multiple projects
- Monitoring Supervisor performance and following up to ensure expectations are met
- Conducting site inspections and reviews to proactively identify risks, defects, and opportunities to improve
- Reporting on site progress, quality outcomes, and team performance to the leadership team
- Providing technical guidance to internal stakeholders, including our Customer Service and Maintenance teams
- Driving a culture of quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement across every site





About You You're a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced site environment and takes pride in getting things right the first time.

You'll have

- A current Supervisory Licence (mandatory)
- A Construction White Card (mandatory)
- Deep, practical knowledge of building codes, regulations, and Australian Standards
- A commitment to upholding correct construction methods and high standards
- Proven ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve defects on site
- Experience managing and coaching Site Supervisors
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A high level of autonomy, accountability, and problem-solving ability
