About the Role The Consumer Voice Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the voices of consumers are heard and embedded across IPC Health's service planning, design, delivery and evaluation activities.

Working within the Governance, Quality and Risk team, you will coordinate the implementation of IPC Health's Consumer Voice Framework and support initiatives that strengthen meaningful consumer participation across the organisation.

You will build trusted relationships with consumers, carers, staff and community stakeholders while creating opportunities for people with lived experience to contribute to organisational decision-making and service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Coordinating the implementation and ongoing delivery of IPC Health's Consumer Voice Framework and associated processes.
- Supporting consumer engagement activities under the direction of the Senior Manager Governance, Quality and Risk.
- Coordinating and facilitating meaningful consumer participation activities across all areas of IPC Health.
- Recruiting, onboarding and supporting consumers to participate in engagement opportunities.
- Building the capability of consumers and staff through education, training and development opportunities.




- Building and maintaining positive relationships with consumers, carers and community stakeholders.
- Supporting evaluation, data collection and reporting activities relating to consumer participation.
- Monitoring and reporting on consumer engagement outcomes, including participation levels, diversity and engagement activities.
- Providing administrative and operational support for consumer engagement initiatives.
- Fostering a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages meaningful consumer participation.

About You You are passionate about community participation and believe consumers should have a genuine voice in shaping the services they receive.

You bring strong relationship-building and organisational skills, with an ability to engage and support people from diverse backgrounds in a respectful and inclusive way.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with consumers, carers and a broad range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of consumer participation principles within a healthcare setting.
- Strong organisational, coordination and time management skills.
- A commitment to equity, inclusion, cultural safety and respectful engagement.
- The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while managing competing priorities.

To Succeed, You Will Need

- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining positive relationships with consumers, carers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of consumer participation, co-design or consumer engagement principles.
- Previous experience working within healthcare, community health, disability, aged care or a not-for-profit environment.
- Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, cultural safety and respectful engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Current Victorian Driver Licence.

Desirable

- Experience coordinating community engagement, volunteer, consumer participation or lived-experience programs.
- Knowledge of community health, healthcare quality improvement or consumer participation frameworks.
- Experience facilitating group discussions, workshops or engagement activities.
