This role is available as one full-time position; however, we’re also happy to consider splitting the hours between two suitable part-time candidates.

Salary: $59,006.95 per annum plus superannuation (Level 5 Cook (Tradesperson Grade 4, Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2026).

Wodonga TAFE’s Kids on Campus Childcare Centre is looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our warm, dedicated team of early childhood professionals. This role is perfect for someone who wants meaningful work, family-friendly hours and the chance to make healthy food something children look forward to.

Selected Duties:
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
- Support children’s wellbeing through safe food handling and allergy-aware meal preparation.
- Contribute to child-friendly menu planning in line with dietary guidelines and Centre budgets.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Contribute to a nurturing and respectful environment for children, families and staff.

About you
You will bring
Essential:
- Experience in a commercial kitchen or Early Childhood Service.
- A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong time management, organisational skills, and a proactive mindset.
- A passion for healthy food, happy kids, and a healthier work routine.
- Must be able to undertake a pre-employment medical.
Desirable:
- A Certificate in Commercial Cookery.

- A current National Police Check (issued within three months of commencement).
