Summary

STACK is seeking an experienced and motivated Critical Operations Manager to support the Senior Critical Operations Manager in leading the on-site Critical Operations function, including the Facilities Management team. The role focuses on safety, team performance, availability, communication and knowledge, and reports to the Senior Critical Operations Manager.

This role directly supports STACK’s commitment to 100% uptime and a concierge-level customer service experience, ensuring risk is proactively managed, planned works are executed safely, and customer communications are clear, timely and professional.

What You'll Be Responsible For

- Lead site incident and problem-management processes, make risk-based decisions and ensure PIR/RCA actions are prioritised, resourced and closed.
- Maintain the site risk register and provide accurate reporting on incidents, change,



corrective actions and project delivery.
- Manage the operation, maintenance and repair of Mission Critical equipment and systems supporting a 24/7 Data Centre.
- Govern maintenance, minor and medium works, outage windows, work methods and operational readiness to protect uptime and customer commitments.
- Develop, review and audit MOPs, SOPs, EOPs and local operating procedures in line with STACK standards.
- Coordinate Facilities Management, contractors, service providers and assigned projects, driving root-cause resolution and vendor performance.
- Host customer operational updates and communicate planned works, risks and incidents clearly and professionally.
- Support team performance, coaching, onboarding and day-to-day administration while stepping up for the Senior Critical Operations Manager when required.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure permit-to-work, risk assessment, SWMS, PPE and hazard-reporting requirements are consistently applied.

What You'll Bring

- Proven capability in critical services or Mission Critical operations, with the ability to lead, motivate and direct technicians and operatives.
- Strong understanding of Data Centre electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, transformers, PDUs, RPPs, chillers,



CRAH/CRAC units, STS, ATS and fire systems.
- Experience with incident management, trend analysis, site monitoring and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- Confidence coordinating contractors, balancing multiple priorities and communicating with customers and internal stakeholders under pressure.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, supported by relevant technical education or training in electrical, electronic, communications, IT or mechanical disciplines, is preferred.
- Relevant experience may also come from Mission Critical sectors such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, oil and gas, power generation or aviation where safety, continuity and technical operations are central.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours, including weekends, nights, public holidays and on-call support.
- The ability to attain and hold NV1 security clearance.
