The opportunity
Join GMCT as an Information and Data Governance Coordinator and play an important role in improving how information and data are managed across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to records and information management, data quality, SharePoint administration and organisational projects, while working collaboratively with teams across GMCT. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Administer information and data governance processes and systems.
- Validate and rectify data quality issues to improve accuracy and integrity.
- Manage records, including registration, classification, retrieval and compliance.
- Support SharePoint administration, document management and information accessibility.
- Provide guidance to staff on records management, information governance and best practice.
- Contribute to projects, data migration and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and experience:
- Relevant professional experience with data rectification.
- Knowledge of GMCT’s Client Service procedures.
- Comprehensive practical experience in Records and Information Management roles.
- Familiarity with GMCT’s primary and legacy Cemetery Management Systems.
- Understanding of GMCT’s project methodologies
- Relevant professional experience in SharePoint
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Intermediate IT skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in records and information management.
- Experience with data rectification, data administration and improving data quality.
- Relevant experience in SharePoint and electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS).
- Strong attention to detail, with an investigative and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively managing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret requirements, provide practical solutions and contribute to continuous improvement.
