Join Vertical Scope Group (VSG) in Canberra as we seek a driven, highly skilled and capable Data Specialist to join our award-winning team and support one of our long-term customers.Are you a technically minded professional who enjoys working across websites, data and stakeholders ? This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a highly visible Australian Government transparency portal, helping ensure public-facing information is accurate, accessible and user-friendly.

Role

You’ll work across website administration, data management, quality assurance and digital improvements , while collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders and external service providers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and turning business requirements into practical technical solutions

Your duties will include:

- Manage website updates, enhancements, testing and maintenance.
- Maintain and validate key data files using advanced Excel skills.
- Support data quality, governance and transformation improvements.
- Liaise with external providers to investigate issues and deliver solutions.
- Support data visualisation, analytics and website functionality improvements.
- Develop user guides,



respond to queries and coordinate stakeholder activities.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

- NV1 security clearance , at a minimum.
- Advanced Excel and data management skills, including formulas, validation and pivot tables.
- Experience with CMS or website administration , such as GovCMS or WordPress.
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualization/reporting tools .
- Understanding of Agile/digital delivery , with Jira or Azure DevOps experience highly regarded.

Desirable: Experience with XML/HTML, IATI data standards, government environments, data governance or enterprise information management systems. Apply Now or Reach Out:
