About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our Design and Engineering business unit, supporting complex projects in the food and industrial industries.

As Design Manager, you will lead and coordinate the design process, so documentation is complete, buildable and delivered to a high standard. Working closely with clients, engineers, consultants, suppliers and project teams, you will help turn complex requirements into practical, efficient design solutions that support budgets, delivery programs and successful construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate all stages of the design process across allocated projects
- Manage design documentation programs to support quality, on-time delivery
- Guide and mentor Design Coordinators, building a collaborative, high-performing team
- Select, engage and coordinate subconsultants, integrating their work into the overall design
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, consultants, suppliers and construction teams
- Ensure designs meet technical requirements and are optimised for buildability
- Manage design budgets, schedules, quality standards and project objectives
- Take ownership of the quality and completeness of design documentation




- Promote continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing across projects

About You

You are an experienced design professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and leading multidisciplinary teams. You communicate confidently, manage competing priorities effectively and understand how strong design documentation supports successful construction.

You will also bring:

- 10 years’ relevant industry experience, ideally in design or engineering
- Proven experience managing projects, design teams and external consultants
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Revit capability
- Practical understanding of constructability, design coordination and project delivery
- Ability to manage design programs, budgets and quality requirements
