About the role

Little VIPs Child Care Early Education Centre is seeking a Diploma Educator to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting prospect to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children whilst working in a supportive, nurturing environment. Based in Lynwood, WA 6147, this role offers the flexibility of part-time work, allowing you to balance your professional aspirations with your personal commitments.

As a Diploma Educator, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality early education and care experiences that support children's development, learning, and wellbeing during their formative years.

What you'll be doing

- Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences and activities that promote children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development
- Supervising and safeguarding children at all times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing in accordance with relevant legislation and centre policies
- Building positive relationships with children and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported
- Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating physical environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicating regularly with families about their child's progress, achievements, and developmental milestones
- Maintaining accurate records of children's attendance, health information, and development observations
- Supporting the implementation of behaviour guidance strategies that are consistent, fair, and developmentally appropriate
- Participating in professional development activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of centre practices




- Following all health and safety procedures, including food preparation, hygiene protocols, and incident reporting

What we're looking for

- Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate to early childhood settings
- A current Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) as required by legislation
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the ability to implement play-based learning approaches
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting children's growth and development
- The ability to remain calm and responsive in busy, dynamic environments
- Experience in childcare or early education settings is highly desirable
- A versatile, patient, and positive approach to working with young children
