Uplift Recruitment is partnering with an Australian energy-sector organisation to appoint a Director to lead and grow a specialist advisory capability.

About the Role

This is a senior client-facing position combining strategic advisory, commercial leadership, project delivery and business development. You will work with renewable energy and storage developers, investors, corporates and other electricity market participants navigating major commercial decisions across Australia’s evolving energy market.

Responsibilities

- Lead commercial and strategic advisory engagements across the Australian electricity market
- Advise clients on renewable energy, storage, investment, market participation and asset commercialisation
- Develop strategies supporting offtake agreements and other long-term commercial arrangements
- Originate and convert new advisory opportunities through existing and new client relationships
- Grow the advisory offering into new service areas and markets
- Lead project teams and oversee the delivery of high-quality client outcomes
- Build trusted relationships with developers, investors, corporates and senior market participants




- Contribute to the broader direction and growth of the business

Qualifications

- At least 10 years’ experience across Australia’s electricity or energy markets
- Deep working knowledge of the Electricity Market
- Experience building or leading an energy consulting, commercial advisory or similar practice
- A demonstrated ability to originate, win and deliver significant advisory engagements
- Robust exposure to renewable energy, storage, commercial strategy or offtake arrangements
- Excellent commercial judgement, analytical capability and senior stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong leadership and project management experience
- Qualifications in engineering, economics, finance, business or a related discipline

Pay range and compensation package

Circa $250,000 base + super + performance bonus
