An established and successful accounting firm in Northern Sydney is looking to appoint an experienced Business Services Director as part of its longer-term succession plans.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director who wants to step into a senior client-facing role with an established portfolio and a genuine pathway to equity .

The Role

You will take responsibility for an established portfolio of business services clients, with a senior Director planning to retire following a suitable handover. There will also be further opportunity to take on clients as other senior Directors gradually step back, providing significant scope to develop your role within the firm.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing and developing a portfolio of SME and privately owned business clients
- Providing business services, tax and commercial advisory support
- Managing key client relationships
- Reviewing work and overseeing workflow
- Developing and mentoring staff
- Working closely with the existing Directors
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice

About You

- CA or CPA qualification
- 10 years+ Australian public practice experience
- Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director-level experience
- Experience managing a substantial SME client portfolio
- Confidence dealing directly with business owners and senior clients
- Strong technical business services and tax knowledge
- Proven team leadership and mentoring skills
- An interest in progressing towards equity and ownership
