About the Role

Lifest HealthCare is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing support to a participant with high and complex support needs in Nirimba.

This role requires someone who is confident working in a complex care environment and has previous experience supporting participants with challenging behaviours, physical disabilities and high personal care needs.

A relevant Certificate III or IV qualification is essential for this position.

Approximately 40–60 hours per fortnight are available across a rotating roster.

Current Shift Times

- AM shift – 7:00am to 3:00pm
- PM shift – 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Applicants will need flexibility across both AM and PM shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide support to a participant with high and complex needs
- Personal care and activities of daily living
- Hoisting and mobility assistance
- PEG feeding and PEG management
- Medication administration
- Support with physical disability needs
- Community access and social participation
- Support to attend medical and allied health appointments
- Domestic assistance and household tasks
- Support participants displaying behaviours of concern
- Follow Behaviour Support Plans and approved restrictive practice requirements
- Complete ABC reporting and behavioural documentation
- Complete detailed shift notes, incident reports and other required documentation
- Follow participant care plans, routines and clinical instructions
- Communicate effectively with the wider support and care team

About You We are looking for someone who is experienced, calm and confident in complex situations.





You will need to be comfortable providing hands-on personal care, following detailed support plans and responding appropriately to behaviours of concern.

This role also requires a strong understanding of professional boundaries, accurate documentation and the importance of following established procedures around restrictive practices and complex care.

Experience with PEG management, hoisting, behaviour support and complex disability care will be highly regarded.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or a relevant equivalent qualification
- Previous experience supporting people with high and complex needs
- Experience with personal care and hoisting
- Experience supporting behaviours of concern
- Understanding of Behaviour Support Plans, restrictive practices and ABC reporting
- PEG feeding and management experience is highly desirable
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Card
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
