Early Childhood Operations & Services Lead job opportunity
About the role
You will take responsibility for leading, supporting and developing a multidisciplinary team of Early Years leaders and professionals, with a strong focus on quality service delivery, people leadership and continuous improvement. This is much more than a day-to-day operational leadership role. You will have the opportunity to influence how services are delivered, support and develop your leaders, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the future direction of Early Years services.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and support Early Years leaders and their teams
- Create a positive environment where people feel supported, accountable and able to perform at their best
- Support the delivery of high-quality, inclusive and child-focused childcare and kindergarten services
- Work closely with other leaders to identify opportunities to improve services and respond to the changing needs of children and families
- Build robust relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, community partners and sector networks
- Contribute to the planning and future direction of Early Years and Family Services
- Identify gaps in service delivery and develop practical strategies to address them
- Support the ongoing development of Early Years programs, policies and initiatives
- Bring knowledge of Early Childhood Education, pedagogy and current sector trends into service planning and operational improvements
- Help turn broader organisational priorities into practical outcomes for teams and the community
About you
- Leadership experience within Early Childhood, Early Years or a related community service environment
- Experience managing or supporting multiple services, teams or service leaders
- Strong knowledge of contemporary Early Childhood Education and service delivery
- Ability to coach, mentor and develop leaders and their teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of the regulatory, quality and policy environment within Early Childhood
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and turn them into practical outcomes
- Collaborative leadership style and genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and families
