Gowrie WA is seeking a capable and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Gowrie Early Learning Kewdale.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an Early Childhood Teacher who believes children are confident, curious and capable learners, and who is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences shaped by children’s ideas, interests, strengths and voices.

As a community-based, not-for-profit organisation, Gowrie has been supporting Western Australian children and families for 86 years. About the role

Working alongside our Centre Lead, Educational Leader and experienced team of educators, you will:

- Create welcoming learning environments where children feel safe, connected and confident to explore.
- Develop genuine, respectful relationships with children and their families.
- Capture children’s voices and use their interests, ideas and experiences to guide the program.
- Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing through play, inquiry and meaningful experiences.
- Work collaboratively with, and guide and mentor educators and contribute to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
- Support each child’s transition to school in ways that build confidence, independence and a positive sense of identity.
- Contribute positively to the culture of the centre and the wider Gowrie community.

About you We would love to hear from you if you:

- Hold, or are working towards,



an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification.
- Have a sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
- Value play-based learning and believe in children as capable and active participants in their learning.
- Communicate warmly and professionally with children, families and team mates.
- Are reflective, dependable and committed to Gowrie’s purpose and values, and to ongoing learning.
- Enjoy being part of a collaborative team and contributing your ideas, experience and enthusiasm.
